This page is a work in progress but here's just small
glimpse into life
and work of one of the men who made Mannix great.
Ben was born in 1916 in New York City.
He received a journalism degree from New York University.
Not only was Ben a talented writer and producer, he was
also an accomplished artist. With over 500 paintings (mostly
primitive oils) to his credit, his work has been exhibited
at shows in London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
"Ben was a very cool and hip artist
to grow up with... not your usual dad! He was really a kind
man and loved to hang out with my brothers and me as we
grew up. In fact, our first names were often used as the
names for bad guys in the episodes. I spent much time on
the Mannix set... mostly playing with all those cool toy
guns." ~ Clay Roberts
