The Gang's All Here Whacked on the back of the neck by a pool cue, and then viciously jammed in the right forearm with it.   Shot from behind by 9mm Beretta in left side. Bullet passed through, but Joe bleeds heavily while eluding the gang.

Drugged and bound-- escapes on foot across desert

Shot point blank in the chest with his
own gun - initially pronounced dead

Mask for a Charade Gets the worst end of a fight with "trained apes."  Shot in upper left arm --blood soaks coat sleeve.  (Bullet wounds were beginning to be seen more realistically!)
